# Infinity Loop vs Games for Watch

The clearest difference is monetization model: Infinity Loop at free with in-app purchases against Games for Watch's subscription. Infinity Loop also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (12 vs 15.6). Games for Watch's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Infinity Loop sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Games for Watch sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Infinity Loop against 4.2 for Games for Watch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Games for Watch has 7.2K ratings behind it against 657, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Infinity Loop's written reviews are positive against 37% of Games for Watch's.

Infinity Loop ships an update every 2 months, Games for Watch weekly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
