# Hiatus vs GhostCatch

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GhostCatch at 100% against Hiatus's 25%. GhostCatch also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and ads (none vs shown). Hiatus's advantage is ratings volume (6.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hiatus sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and GhostCatch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostCatch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hiatus has 6.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Hiatus's written reviews are positive against 100% of GhostCatch's.

Hiatus ships an update every 10 days, GhostCatch monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
