# Text 2 Watch vs Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Text 2 Watch at 100% against Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers's 50%. Text 2 Watch also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers's advantage is ratings volume (711 vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text 2 Watch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers has 711 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Text 2 Watch's written reviews are positive against 50% of Watch+ Widgets & Wallpapers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
