# Nest Egg vs SwiftCount

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SwiftCount at 100% against Nest Egg's 20%. SwiftCount also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). Nest Egg's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 1.8) and ratings volume (48 vs 5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nest Egg sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. SwiftCount asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nest Egg holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nest Egg has 48 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Nest Egg's written reviews are positive against 100% of SwiftCount's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nest Egg ships an update every 6 weeks, SwiftCount weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
