# Sub Count vs Perfect Circle!

The clearest difference is rating: Perfect Circle! at 4.1 against Sub Count's 3.3. Perfect Circle! also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Sub Count's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Perfect Circle! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sub Count asks for nothing beyond the download.

Perfect Circle! holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sub Count has 380 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Sub Count's written reviews are positive against 50% of Perfect Circle!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sub Count ships an update every 5 months, Perfect Circle! every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
