# FullScreenCamera vs CamX

The clearest difference is rating: CamX at 4.4 against FullScreenCamera's 2.0. CamX also leads on ratings volume (295 vs 1). FullScreenCamera's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CamX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. FullScreenCamera asks for nothing beyond the download.

CamX holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CamX has 295 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FullScreenCamera ships an update every 9 days, CamX every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
