# Hello Weather vs Daylight

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Daylight at none against Hello Weather's 9. Daylight also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Hello Weather's advantage is ratings volume (9.6K vs 19) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hello Weather sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Daylight asks for nothing beyond the download.

Daylight holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hello Weather has 9.6K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Hello Weather's written reviews are positive against 80% of Daylight's.

Hello Weather ships an update every 2 weeks, Daylight every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
