# Voipfone Softphone vs Pyfone

The clearest difference is rating: Voipfone Softphone at 5.0 against Pyfone's 3.0. Pyfone's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 17%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Voipfone Softphone holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Voipfone Softphone's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pyfone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Voipfone Softphone ships an update every 7 months, Pyfone every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
