# Browsec VPN vs Secure VPN Proxy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Browsec VPN at free with in-app purchases against Secure VPN Proxy's subscription. Browsec VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Secure VPN Proxy's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Browsec VPN sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Secure VPN Proxy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Browsec VPN against 4.6 for Secure VPN Proxy. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17K and 5K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Browsec VPN's written reviews are positive against 85% of Secure VPN Proxy's.

Browsec VPN ships an update fortnightly, Secure VPN Proxy every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
