# Dubstep Electro Pads vs O2Jam

The clearest difference is rating: O2Jam at 5.0 against Dubstep Electro Pads's 3.1. O2Jam also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). Dubstep Electro Pads's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. O2Jam sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Dubstep Electro Pads asks for nothing beyond the download.

O2Jam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dubstep Electro Pads has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Dubstep Electro Pads's written reviews are positive against 71% of O2Jam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dubstep Electro Pads ships an update every 4 months, O2Jam every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
