# Magic Launcher Widgets vs Widget Template

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Magic Launcher Widgets at 60% against Widget Template's 25%. Magic Launcher Widgets also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (81 vs 27). Widget Template's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Launcher Widgets sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Widget Template sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widget Template holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 81 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Magic Launcher Widgets's written reviews are positive against 25% of Widget Template's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Launcher Widgets ships an update weekly, Widget Template every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
