# Magic Launcher Widgets vs Themes

The clearest difference is rating: Themes at 4.5 against Magic Launcher Widgets's 3.8. Themes also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 81) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). Magic Launcher Widgets's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 19%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Launcher Widgets sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Themes sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Themes holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Themes has 2.1K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Magic Launcher Widgets's written reviews are positive against 19% of Themes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Launcher Widgets ships an update weekly, Themes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
