# SchoolMessenger vs Juhuhu

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SchoolMessenger at 816 against Juhuhu's 3. SchoolMessenger also leads on review sentiment (53% vs 33%). Juhuhu's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (14.2 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Juhuhu holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolMessenger has 816 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of SchoolMessenger's written reviews are positive against 33% of Juhuhu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SchoolMessenger ships an update every 2 months, Juhuhu every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
