# Surfs vs Rockets

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Surfs at none against Rockets's 1. Surfs also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). Rockets's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rockets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Surfs asks for nothing beyond the download.

Surfs ships an update every 4 months, Rockets every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
