# Air Raid Siren vs Train Sounds Effects

The clearest difference is ads: Train Sounds Effects at none against Air Raid Siren's shown. Train Sounds Effects also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (12.3 vs 17.6). Air Raid Siren's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (812 vs 10). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air Raid Siren sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Train Sounds Effects sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Air Raid Siren holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Raid Siren has 812 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Air Raid Siren's written reviews are positive against 73% of Train Sounds Effects's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Air Raid Siren ships an update every 6 months, Train Sounds Effects every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
