# Dino Camera vs Pic FX Editor

The clearest difference is rating: Dino Camera at 4.6 against Pic FX Editor's 3.7. Dino Camera also leads on ratings volume (480 vs 9). Pic FX Editor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dino Camera sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Pic FX Editor sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dino Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dino Camera has 480 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Dino Camera's written reviews are positive against 92% of Pic FX Editor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dino Camera ships an update every 7 months, Pic FX Editor every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
