# Mavis Camera vs Socialive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mavis Camera at 59% against Socialive's 17%. Mavis Camera also leads on ratings volume (746 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Socialive's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mavis Camera sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days. Socialive asks for nothing beyond the download.

Socialive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mavis Camera has 746 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Mavis Camera's written reviews are positive against 17% of Socialive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mavis Camera ships an update fortnightly, Socialive every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
