# KREF vs The Fan Collective

The clearest difference is rating: The Fan Collective at 5.0 against KREF's 3.7. The Fan Collective also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). KREF's advantage is ratings volume (50 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Fan Collective holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KREF has 50 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
