# Hand vs PT Platform

The clearest difference is ads: PT Platform at none against Hand's shown. PT Platform also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hand sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and PT Platform sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
