# JJ象棋 vs Chess

The clearest difference is ratings volume: JJ象棋 at 1.1K against Chess's 27. Chess's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JJ象棋 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for JJ象棋 against 4.7 for Chess. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JJ象棋 has 1.1K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of JJ象棋's written reviews are positive against 100% of Chess's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
