# Word Master vs Black Block Blast

The clearest difference is update cadence: Word Master at every 2 months against Black Block Blast's every 62 months. Word Master also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 3) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Black Block Blast's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $4.99) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Word Master costs $4.99 and Black Block Blast $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Word Master holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Master has 4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Word Master's written reviews are positive against 100% of Black Block Blast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Word Master ships an update every 2 months, Black Block Blast every 62 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
