# Timeframe vs Then

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timeframe at free against Then's freemium. Then's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timeframe sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Then sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timeframe holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 22 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 94% of Timeframe's written reviews are positive against 88% of Then's.

Timeframe ships an update every 2 months, Then every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
