# Upserve Live vs Avero Logbook

The clearest difference is rating: Avero Logbook at 4.8 against Upserve Live's 1.6. Avero Logbook also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (462 vs 59). Upserve Live's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (19% vs 8%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avero Logbook holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avero Logbook has 462 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Upserve Live's written reviews are positive against 8% of Avero Logbook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Upserve Live ships an update every 3 months, Avero Logbook every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
