# Covert Alert vs Adapt Aware

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Covert Alert at 240 against Adapt Aware's 3. Adapt Aware's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Covert Alert sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Adapt Aware sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Adapt Aware holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Covert Alert has 240 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Covert Alert ships an update every 5 weeks, Adapt Aware fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
