# Offline Media vs Files Player

The clearest difference is ads: Files Player at none against Offline Media's shown. Files Player also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offline Media sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Files Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
