# Euro Train Simulator vs Subway Train Simulator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Subway Train Simulator at 85% against Euro Train Simulator's 70%. Euro Train Simulator's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 244). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Euro Train Simulator sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Subway Train Simulator sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Euro Train Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Euro Train Simulator has 1.6K ratings behind it against 244, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Euro Train Simulator's written reviews are positive against 85% of Subway Train Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Euro Train Simulator ships an update every 2 months, Subway Train Simulator every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
