# Car Tracker. vs drivers note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Car Tracker. at 100% against drivers note's 40%. Car Tracker. also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). drivers note's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 29 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. drivers note sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Car Tracker. asks for nothing beyond the download.

drivers note holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: drivers note has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Car Tracker.'s written reviews are positive against 40% of drivers note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Car Tracker. ships an update every 29 months, drivers note every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
