# Dr. Rocket vs Rad Trails!

Dr. Rocket and Rad Trails! both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of Dr. Rocket's written reviews are positive against 34% of Rad Trails!'s. Dr. Rocket also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Rad Trails!'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (575 vs 54). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rad Trails! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dr. Rocket asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rad Trails! holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rad Trails! has 575 ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Dr. Rocket's written reviews are positive against 34% of Rad Trails!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dr. Rocket ships an update every 6 months, Rad Trails! every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
