# Funny Ringtones + vs Text Message Sounds

The clearest difference is rating: Funny Ringtones + at 4.4 against Text Message Sounds's 3.8. Funny Ringtones + also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 99). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Funny Ringtones + holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funny Ringtones + has 1.7K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Funny Ringtones +'s written reviews are positive against 45% of Text Message Sounds's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Funny Ringtones + ships an update every 18 months, Text Message Sounds every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
