# Shi vs Ollie's

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Ollie's at 212 against Shi's 12. Shi's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ollie's has 212 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shi ships an update every 5 months, Ollie's every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
