# RandomName vs Infinite Name Generator

The clearest difference is rating: Infinite Name Generator at 3.0 against RandomName's 2.2. Infinite Name Generator also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). RandomName's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 0%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RandomName sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Infinite Name Generator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Infinite Name Generator holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RandomName has 118 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of RandomName's written reviews are positive against 0% of Infinite Name Generator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RandomName ships an update every 6 weeks, Infinite Name Generator every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
