# Action Clip vs SnipBack

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SnipBack at 67% against Action Clip's 0%. SnipBack also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (free vs freemium). Action Clip's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Action Clip sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and SnipBack sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Action Clip holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Action Clip's written reviews are positive against 67% of SnipBack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Action Clip ships an update every 3 weeks, SnipBack every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
