# HerdBoss vs Trackside Scheduler

The clearest difference is rating: Trackside Scheduler at 5.0 against HerdBoss's 4.2. Trackside Scheduler also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). HerdBoss's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HerdBoss sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Trackside Scheduler asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trackside Scheduler holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HerdBoss has 59 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
