# Stopwatch ٞ vs Time Tracker

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Stopwatch ٞ at none against Time Tracker's 1. Stopwatch ٞ also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 23) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Time Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Stopwatch ٞ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stopwatch ٞ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stopwatch ٞ has 1.5K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Stopwatch ٞ's written reviews are positive against 100% of Time Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stopwatch ٞ ships an update every 9 months, Time Tracker every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
