# FEI RuleApp vs Horsly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Horsly at every 3 weeks against FEI RuleApp's every 6 months. FEI RuleApp's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FEI RuleApp ships an update every 6 months, Horsly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
