# Cuneiform Edit vs Syriac Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cuneiform Edit at 85% against Syriac Notes's 0%. Cuneiform Edit also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (27 vs 1). Syriac Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Syriac Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cuneiform Edit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Syriac Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cuneiform Edit has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Cuneiform Edit's written reviews are positive against 0% of Syriac Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
