# Comics Studio vs Proloquo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Comics Studio at every 3 weeks against Proloquo's every 6 weeks. Comics Studio also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comics Studio sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Proloquo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Comics Studio ships an update every 3 weeks, Proloquo every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
