# Minty vs FluffyChat

The clearest difference is rating: FluffyChat at 3.9 against Minty's 3.4. FluffyChat also leads on ratings volume (102 vs 12). Minty's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FluffyChat holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FluffyChat has 102 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Minty's written reviews are positive against 50% of FluffyChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minty ships an update every 2 weeks, FluffyChat monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
