# Minty vs ChatSpace

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Minty at 72% against ChatSpace's 16%. Minty also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.4). ChatSpace's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (4K vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatSpace sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Minty asks for nothing beyond the download.

ChatSpace holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatSpace has 4K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Minty's written reviews are positive against 16% of ChatSpace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minty ships an update every 2 weeks, ChatSpace fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
