# everything BHI vs Avelo

The clearest difference is rating: Avelo at 4.3 against everything BHI's 3.4. Avelo also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (9K vs 5). everything BHI's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 11%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avelo holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avelo has 9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of everything BHI's written reviews are positive against 11% of Avelo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
