# FileMate vs FileHub

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FileMate at 380 against FileHub's 9. FileMate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). FileHub's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FileMate sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and FileHub sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for FileMate against 4.6 for FileHub. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FileMate has 380 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FileMate ships an update every 2 weeks, FileHub every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
