# Alien Path vs Monster Chef

Alien Path and Monster Chef both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of Alien Path's written reviews are positive against 70% of Monster Chef's. Monster Chef's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 196). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alien Path sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Monster Chef sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monster Chef holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monster Chef has 1.8K ratings behind it against 196, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Alien Path's written reviews are positive against 70% of Monster Chef's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alien Path ships an update every 6 weeks, Monster Chef every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
