# FinCloud.tv vs Video Player

The clearest difference is ads: FinCloud.tv at none against Video Player's shown. FinCloud.tv also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 14.0). Video Player's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Video Player holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Player has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FinCloud.tv ships an update every 2 months, Video Player monthly. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
