# Eorzean Watch vs MapGenie

The clearest difference is ads: Eorzean Watch at none against MapGenie's shown. Eorzean Watch also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 56%) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 26 months). MapGenie's advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 24). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eorzean Watch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MapGenie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Eorzean Watch against 4.8 for MapGenie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MapGenie has 2.6K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two.
