# My last Cigarette Timer vs Zero Cal

The clearest difference is monetization model: My last Cigarette Timer at free with in-app purchases against Zero Cal's subscription. My last Cigarette Timer also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Zero Cal's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My last Cigarette Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Zero Cal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zero Cal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My last Cigarette Timer has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
