# Productive vs Forte

The clearest difference is ads: Forte at none against Productive's shown. Forte also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 47%). Productive's advantage is ratings volume (91K vs 44) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Productive sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Forte sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Productive holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Productive has 91K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Productive's written reviews are positive against 67% of Forte's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Productive ships an update fortnightly, Forte every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
