# 3D Solar System vs X

The clearest difference is rating: 3D Solar System at 4.4 against X's 1.3. 3D Solar System also leads on review sentiment (29% vs 0%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). X's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Solar System sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and X sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

3D Solar System holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3D Solar System has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of 3D Solar System's written reviews are positive against 0% of X's.

3D Solar System ships an update fortnightly, X every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
