# 3D Solar System vs Cosmopedia

The clearest difference is rating: Cosmopedia at 5.0 against 3D Solar System's 4.4. Cosmopedia also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). 3D Solar System's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Solar System sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Cosmopedia sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cosmopedia holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3D Solar System has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
