# Mic vs EPview

The clearest difference is rating: EPview at 3.3 against Mic's 2.1. Mic's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and review sentiment (13% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EPview holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Mic's written reviews are positive against 0% of EPview's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mic ships an update every 2 months, EPview every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
