# Yoti vs TOR Browser

The clearest difference is rating: TOR Browser at 4.5 against Yoti's 4.0. Yoti's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and chart position (#170 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TOR Browser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days. Yoti asks for nothing beyond the download.

TOR Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13K and 14K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Yoti's written reviews are positive against 31% of TOR Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yoti ships an update monthly, TOR Browser every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
